NIKK changes its name

NIKK has signed a new contract with The Nordic Council of Ministers for the period 2008-2010. As a result NIKK changes its name to Nordic Gender Institute on 1 January 2008.

In 2008 two new members join the board of NIKK. Director Anne-Marie Morhed from Sweden replaces Git Claesson Pipping. Researcher Lars Plantin from Sweden continues as replacement member. Norway has re-elected Post-doctoral research fellow Arnfinn Andersen and replacement member Senior executive advisor Marit Lorentzen.

New staff members at NIKK
Bosse Parbring (Sweden) replaced Trine Lynggard as Information advisor and Editor of NIKK magasin on 1 September 2007.
Jennie Westlund (Finland) began as Project Consultant on 1 September 2007.
May-Len Skilbrei (Norway) is Project Manager together with Charlotta Holmström (Sweden) for the project "Prostitution in the Nordic Countries".
NIKK has engaged Minna Rantalaiho (Finland) and Trine Rogg Korsvik (Norge) as researchers on the EU project FEMCIT
