NIKK launches new website!

nikk.no presents thematic information and knowledge on gender research and gender equality in the Nordic countries.

The purpose of nikk.no is better to comply with the needs of the users and create a simple and quick overlook of NIKK's projects. Each theme on the website introduces a project and publishes news, articles, research and publications from the project.

The reason for launching nikk.no is primarily that NIKK was given a new mandate and a new contract, which states that NIKK's dissemination should "concentrate an a limited amount of strategically relevant thematic areas related to the Nordic Gender Equality Co-operation Programme". Furthermore it has been the ambition to improve the functionality and renew the visual profile of the website.

The new nikk.no

The majority of the information at nikk.no is in Scandinavian and English. All articles are however not to be found in both Scandinavian and English. You can read a limited amount of information about NIKK and our projects in Finnish and Icelandic.

nikk.no is part of a collaboration with the national information centres for gender research in the Nordic countries: KILDEN (NO), Swedish Secretariat for Gender Research (SE), KVINFO (DK) and Minna (FI), and also the Nordic Council of Ministers' website on gender equality

NIKK is a transnational resource- and information centre on gender research and gender equality policies in the Nordic countries. NIKK is established by the Nordic Council of Ministers and is currently located at the University of Oslo.
