This issue is a follow-up on the NIKK magasin published in 2009 in connection with the UN Climate Change Conference, COP 15,
Copenhagen, discussing various methods for tackling change where a gender perspective is crucial for the solutions. By taking
into account the different conditions of women and men, it is possible to find new solutions for mitigating climate change.
This issue is a contribution to the decision of Finland as chair of the Nordic Council of Minsters in year 2011 to focus on
climate solutions
