The Nordic Council of Ministers identified the following four themes as particularly important for the Nordic gender equality work during the period 2011-2014:

  • Gender equality in the labour market
  • Gender equality in education
  • Gender, ethnicity and gender equality
  • Zero tolerance for gender-based violence

On these pages we describe the Nordic Council of Ministers’ activities, reports and projects related to these themes.

In addition to the themes listed above, the Nordic Council of Ministers will also focus on:

  • men’s and boys’ participation
  • gender mainstreaming

The Nordic Council of Ministers will present a new cooperation programme and priorities for the gender equality work 2015-2018.
