In May 2015, Nordic Information on Gender was commissioned by the Nordic Council of Ministers to carry out a project on men and gender equality in the Nordic countries.
The project was based on three themes:
To learn from previous experience, a review of present and past work in the area of men and gender equality at Nordic and national level during the period 2005–2015 was made. The project also included an empirical study focusing on a few initiatives that served as learning examples. In the end, the results of the project informed the continued work of the Nordic Council of Ministers in the area of men and gender equality.
A final report was presented to the Nordic working group on men and gender equality in January 2016.
